The Nisei, Wrigleyville’s oldest dive bar, was founded in the 1940s by Hiroto “Kaunch” Hirabayashi at Clark & Division and later sold to his brother, Kazuo “Zoke” Hirabayashi, who moved the tavern up to Lakeview in the 1950s.
